  1. Jeff says:

Hard Times (1975) is a must see.

Seen by very few people and that’s why it’s underrated.

Plently of action in this one!

  2. Devin says:

    Where is Dark knight?

What kind of action movie blog is this?!

I know it doesn’t have zombies, but I cannot go on in life without your opinions of it!

  3. Mike says:

Hey, I came across your blog, read some of the posts, great stuff.

I am part of a small movie production company, and we recently released our first full length movie. It showed in 2-3 theaters up here in Boston, and we just released it online for the world to see.

If you want to check it out:

I am not trying to spam your blog. I looked around for your email information so I could email you personally, but this is all I found. I hope you like it, email me if you have any questions, and feedback is always welcome.

So Michael Bay’s relatively unknown adopted brother is now making films, probably to capitalize off the Bay legacy. It’s a straight up brawler with some pretty blatant cues taken from his brother. Gunplay, Explosions, etc. Basically What you’re expecting, sort of a mid-90’s action film set in Chicago. I definitely recommend it if you love those kinds of films.

    Here’s the trailer:

Figured you guys might like this one… it’s just Youtube video featuring all of the standard action movie cliches.

  7. richpence says:

I am a 17 year old film maker. But my content is at least as good as Freddiew’s on YouTube. I won’t waste your time reading some long message. So just look at my action short if you get the chance. Thanks 🙂 Richard.

  8. Maybe you could do a write up on the independent action film my team is trying to produce, we’re trying to get funding and need all the help we can get! Thanks in advance! All the info is at

  9. Teaser Trailer for ‘Concrete’. A $15K budgeted Action film shot in Toronto, Canada, last fall. Coming soon. Written and Directed by Sasha Moric and Matthew Bennett.

The basic premise is a jacked up version of ‘The Warriors’. A young man has to street-fight his way home over the course of one night – through every gang in the city.

The project started when we did an action themed short a couple of years ago, and we realized there was a huge number of trained martial artists and stunt fighters in Toronto, most of them sitting around bored and wanting to work on something. We put them to work.

Did I mention the budget? The other day, just for fun, I put together the real budget. Like how much everything would have cost if we paid the stunt men union wages for their time, how much the volunteer crews would have cost if they were paid. It was just under a million dollars. So the project was basically a miracle of love. Real, hard love to witness the birth of one of the most ambitious indie action films of all time. Seriously. A real community of Action fans came together to make this a reality.

And with other indie Action projects like Tyler Williams ‘All-In’ starting soon, Toronto might be a contender in the near future.

Thanks for any support or mentions you might give.
